Thema der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die normative Konstruktion von Krankheit und Geschlecht. Butlers de/konstruktivistische Geschlechterkonzeption als Performativität des Geschlechts in Annahme, Wiederholung und Verschiebung wird anhand der geschlechtsspezifischen psychosomatischen Krankheiten Hysterie, Essstörung und selbstverletzendem Verhalten dargestellt. Wie werden Diskurse über „Weiblichkeit“, „Normalität“ und „Krankheit“ verkörpert? Was sind die affirmativen Implikationen dieser Formierungen und worin besteht ihr transformatives Potenzial? Ich analysiere Geschlecht als soziale und diskursive Konstruktion und als Praxis der Selbsttechnologie. Die Darstellung der sprachlichen Verfasstheit von Subjekten und der Annahme des Geschlechts durch Inkorporation und performative Wiederholung von Normen bilden die Grundlage für eine Politik des Performativen, die ich in Mimesis und (Geschlechter)Parodie als Strategie ausführe. Die Inszenierung der Konstruiertheit von „Weiblichkeit“ und „Männlichkeit“ im drag kann als subversive, Bedeutung verschiebende Praxis wirksam werden. Ich analysiere das Verhältnis von Diskurs und Materialität bei Judith Butler als Prozesse der „Materialisierung“. Die Stofflichkeit des Körpers wird verknüpft mit der Performativität des Geschlechts. Ich untersuche die Kategorien „Normalität“ und „Krankheit“ als sozial-normative, vergeschlechtlichte und vergeschlechtlichende Konstruktionen. Die Performativität von Krankheit und Geschlecht in geschlechtsspezifischen somatischen Kulturen stelle ich an den Krankheitsbildern der hysterischen Konversion, der Anorexie und Bulimie sowie des selbstverletzenden Verhaltens dar. In der Gleichzeitigkeit von Selbstermächtigung und Selbstunterwerfung in modernen Selbstverhältnissen wird das Kontinuum zwischen „normaler“ Frau und „pathologischer“ Weiblichkeit am Beispiel des Schönheitshandelns deutlich. Ich beschreibe feministische psychosoziale Beratung im Spannungsfeld von Emanzipation und Normalisierung und befrage meine Tätigkeit als psychosoziale Beraterin als Beispiel der konfliktreichen Vermittlung von feministischer Theorie und Praxis. Was ist das Philosophische an psychosozialer Beratung? Ich konkretisiere die feministische Beratungstheorie am Thema Trennung. Es folgt die Paarbeziehung als Ort der Performativität von Geschlecht - doing gender in der Haus- und Sorgearbeit zwischen rhetorischer Gleichheit und Ungleichheitspraxis. Der letzte Abschnitt behandelt die psychosoziale Beratung bei Gewalt in ihrer Verknüpfung mit dem Schweigen, dem ich das Sprechen über krank machende normative Weiblichkeit und die Möglichkeit ihrer Dekonstruktion in der feministischen Beratung entgegengesetze.

Subject of this thesis is the normative construction of disease and gender. Butlers de/constructivist conception of gender as performativity in the repetition and subversion of norms is shown in the gender specific psychosomatic diseases of hysteria, eating disorders and self-mutilating behavior. I pose the following questions: How are discourses of “femininity”, “normality” and “disease” incorporated, how do discourses form bodies as gender specific “healthy”/ “normal” or “sick” ones? What are the implications of these formations and what is their transformative potential? In the first part of my thesis I analyze gender as a social and discursive construction and a practice of technology of the self (Foucault). Butlers de/constructivist gender conception serves as an instrument for the critical inquiry of the feminist subject “woman”/ “women”. The lingual constitution of subjects and the assuming of gender through incorporation and performative repetition of norms form the basis for a politics of the performative, which I show as one of mimesis and (gender) parody. The performance of the construction of “femininity” and “masculinity” in drag can have a subversive effect towards the meaning of these categories. I analyze the relation of discourse and materiality, language and body in Judith Butler’s theory as processes of “materialization”. The materiality of the body can be combined with the performativity of gender. Practices of normalization become more and more technologies of the self (Foucault). Subject of the second part is the relation of gender and normality as well as gender and disease in their crossing. I analyze the categories of “normality” and “disease” as social-normative, gendered and gendering constructions. Psycho-somatic connections can be understood as chiasm (Merleau-Ponty) of psyche and soma in the conversion of psychic into somatic. I show the performativity of disease and gender in gender specific somatic cultures in hysterical conversion, anorexia, bulimia and self-mutilating behavior. Self-empowerment and self-submission manifest themselves at the same time in the continuum of “normal” woman and “pathological” femininity and their manipulations of their bodies in the name of beauty. Part 3 deals with the connection of gender and counselling: Feminist psychosocial counselling between emancipation and normalization. I analyze my work as a psychosocial counsellor in trying to mediate feminist theory and practice. At the beginning of this last part I pose the question of philosophical practice: How can philosophical thinking have an effect in the practice of acting? What is the philosophical perspective of psychosocial counselling? I present the example of counselling in a process of separation, the relationship of heterosexual couples as a place for the performativity of gender - doing gender in care work between rhetorical equality and the practice of discrimination and psychosocial counselling of women who suffer from violence acted out by their partners, their silence and the possibility of its deconstruction in feminist counselling.
