Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Kohomologie
arithmetischer Untergruppen unipotenter algebraischer Gruppen über dem
Körper der rationalen Zahlen. Das Ziel der Untersuchungen ist es, ein
algebraisches Gegenstück eines klassischen Resultats von van Est über
die Kohomologie diskreter, kokompakter Untergruppen nilpotenter Lie
Gruppen zu finden. Genauer zeigen wir, dass für eine arithmetische
Untergruppe G einer unipotenten algebraischen Gruppe U über
dem Körper der rationalen Zahlen und eine rationale Darstellung
V von U ein natürlicher Isomorphismus
zwischen den rationalen Kohomologiegruppen H^*(U,V) und den
Kohomologiegruppen H^*(G, V) existiert. Weiters zeigen wir, dass auch
die Lie Algebra Kohomologiegruppen H^*(u,V) mit den rationalen
Kohomologiegruppen H^*(U, V) identifiziert werden können

The thesis at hand deals with the cohomology of arithmetic subgroups of
unipotent algebraic groups over the field of rational numbers. It aims to
prove an algebraic analogue of a classical result of van Est on the
cohomology of discrete, cocompact subgroups of nilpotent real Lie groups.
More precisely, given a unipotent algebraic group U over the field of
rational numbers and an arithmetic subgroup G of U, we show that
for any rational representation V of U there exists a natural isomorphism
between the rational cohomology groups H^*(U,V) and the cohomology
groups H^*(G,V). Moreover, we prove that the Lie algebra cohomology
groups H^*(u,V) can be naturally identified with the rational cohomology groups H^*(U,V).
