Die vorliegende Untersuchung beschäftigt sich mit der Art der Aufmerksamkeitslenkung unter Verwendung eines abrupten onset cues, der subliminal verwendet wird, bei einer Go/No - Go - Aufgabenstellung. Ein Teil der Probanden musste als Go-Alternative auf eine Farbe antworten und als No-Go- Alternative auf die andere Farbe nicht antworten. An der gecueten Position fand man einen Fazilitierungseffekt der Aufmerksamkeit. Jedoch fand man keinen IOR Effekt, der Bestandteil des typischen biphasischen Musters ist. Das Ausbleiben des IOR Effekts kann möglicherweise mit dem Kontrast zusammenhängen. Die gegenwärtigen Ergebnisse sprechen für eine Bottom - Up - Lenkung der Aufmerksamkeit, jedoch kann eine Top - Down Beeinflussung nicht gänzlich ausgeschlossen werden.

Current findings show, that an abrupt onset cue, which is not perceived, can capture attention in an exogenous way, when we include a Go/No -Go Task. The Go - Task was to respond to a special color and the No - Go Task was not to respond to an other special color. On the cued position a facilitation in attention was found, but an inhibition of return, which is part of the typical biphasic pattern of the capture of attention in a purely exogenous way, was missing. The reason why we did not find an IOR effect could be because of the contrast that was used in the experiment. The current findings of the study suggest a bottom - up capture of attention when subliminal cues are used but an influence of a top-down processing can not be excluded completely.
