Any kind of work that is carried out by an organisation presents a specific challenge for their mem-bers. This can be observed in educational organisations, whose pedagogic employees are confronted with a diverse and challenging scope of tasks, which can result in the development of work-related fears. The authors of the text focussed in particular on the educational institution of school, in which teachers, next to their work with their students in class, are constantly in contact with their staff col-leagues and superiors, as well as parents of their students. In this situation, possible task-related fears can occur with teaching staff that can influence the successful accomplishment of the underlying tasks. Only an environment where those threatening, daunting emotions can be processed properly allows teachers in schools to ensure an appropriate education for their pupils. Based on the (main) question, How educational employees can deal with task-related fears in consideration of a case study at a primary school ?, the authors of the thesis in hand are putting their focus on the psychoso-cial aspects of different patterns in handling with teachers fears in educational institutions. The results of a pedagogical case study which was carried out at a primary school in Vienna, were brought into connection with common psychoanalytical theories (social defence system according to Menzies Lyth (1974); containment according to Bion (1970)). Subsequently, the findings were interpreted regarding possible occurring fears and potential for preventing or at least processing these in respect to the edu-cational staff of the primary school which was subject of the study.
