Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit befasst sich mit dem Sportspiel American Football und dessen systematischer Spielbeobachtung. Die Umsetzung der Spielbeobachtung wurde im Vorfeld in Form einer Spielanalysesoftwareentwickelung realisiert.
Im ersten Teil erfolgt eine beschreibende Darstellung der Geschichte, des Spielfelds, der Spieler und des Spielablaufs von American Football, die zur Einführung in die in Europa noch unbekannte Sportart dient. Der zweite Teil beschreibt die Entwicklung des Spielbeobachtungsprogramms SPAF 1.1 und dessen Anwendung. Die zur Eingabe in das Programm benötigten Erklärungen werden durch Abbildungen (Screenshots) veranschaulicht. Der Index im Anhang beinhaltet die wichtigsten Begriffe in Zusammenhang mit American Football, die noch einmal kurz erklärt werden.

This thesis includes the description of the game American Football and the software program SPAF 1.1. The game analysis was realized with this software.
In the first part of this thesis the history, field, players and the game were explained for a better understanding in this not common sport in Europe. The second part includes the development, explanation and appliance of the game analysis program for American Football SPAF 1.1. For a better exemplification screenshots of the software were added. The index at the end includes the most important terms and definitions, which were used in American Football.
