Abstract
(Deutsch)
Abstract
(Englisch)
In the present thesis, two specific questions with regard to the approved Statutes of the Neocatechumenal Way will be treated.
The Neocatechumenal Way, a fruit of the time after the 2nd Vatican Council, was born at the beginning of the 1960s under the barrack inhabitants from “Palomeras Altas” in Madrid. Among the initiators of the Way were the painter Kiko Argüello and Carmen Hernández, both who in their own way came into contact with the wake of the renewal of the 2nd Vatican Council. They moved into a slam in Madrid, and out of petition of the poor, with whom they lived, they began to proclaim to them the Gospel. This type of kerygmatic annunciation lead to the formation of a small community made up of gipsys, illiterates, prostitutes, homeless, etc. The fruit bringing synthesis through annunciation, modification of the moral life and liturgy were the basis of which, what later the Neocatechumenal Way should become.
Other communities were formed, who settled in different parishes in Ma-drid. Some years later the first communities were formed in Rome and today, more than forty years later, the Neocatechumenal Way is present in many na-tions all over the world.
The fact, that the Neocatechumenal Way understands itself neither as an association nor as a church movement, arose some questions from the beginning, in one hand in the process of the juridical recognition, on the other hand within the parishes, where these experience is generally realized.
The Neocatechumenal Way is a catechumenate for the Christian initia-tion (cf. CCC Nr. 1231). As a graceful gift of the Holy Spirit, – “carisma” –, it helps for the building up of the Church (cf. CCC Nr. 799, Compendium of CCC Nr. 160).
The 2nd Vatican Council states that a charism is given from the Holy Spirit “among the faithful of every rank” (LG 12), which means the clergymen like the laymen. The charism`s task is to continuously revive the institution and to relativity its hegemony pretensions. On the other hand, the institution doesn’t only have the responsibility to verify and judge the authenticity of the charism, but also to guarantee to all its existence and the effective possibility of its practice. The statutes of the Neocatechumenal Way after a time of proof were definitive approved on May 11, 2008. It concerns to all a confirmation of an alive and in the course of the previously years consolidate apostolic practice. The specific character of the Neocatechumenal Way would be preserved as the title of a public juridical personality, who consist “of an ensemble of spiritual goods” (Art. 1 § 3 Statute; cf. c. 114 § 3 CIC), was conferred to this reality.
The first question of the thesis relates to the “sacra potestas” and the re-lation between common priesthood and ministerial priesthood. How does the participation of both forms of priesthood in the one priesthood of Christ was re-alize in the context of the Neocatechumenal Way?
The second question pertains to the incardination of the clergymen, who are formed in the diocesan missionary colleges “Redemptoris Mater”. Do they belong to the diocesan clergy or do they stand as an atypical incardination relationship?
