Meine Diplomarbeit „Delicati & Deliciae. Versuch einer Begriffsbestimmung“ handelt von jenen Inschriften, in denen die Begriffe delicatus und delicium genannt werden. Ziel war es herauszufinden, ob es einen Unterschied in der Verwendung der beiden Begriffe gab und was die Aufgaben der so Bezeichneten waren. Die Arbeit ist in drei Teile gegliedert. Teil I behandelt die Darstellung der delicati und deliciae in den antiken literarischen Quellen, in Teil II wurden die ausgewählten Inschriften statistisch ausgewertet und in Teil III die möglichen Tätigkeitsfelder der delicati und deliciae betrachtet. Am Ende befindet sich ein Inschriftenkatalog mit allen berücksichtigten Inschriften, inklusive Übersetzung und Kommentar.
Da die sich die Darstellung der Verhältnisse in den Inschriften signifikant von der in den literarischen Quellen unterscheidet, war es wichtig, auch diesen Teil (Teil I) einzufügen.
Berücksichtigt wurden nur jene Inschriften, in denen die beiden Begriffe als „Tätigkeitsbeschreibung“ vorkommen, das heißt ausgenommen sind alle, in denen delicatus bzw. delicium als Namen und/oder Epitheta Anwendung finden.

My diploma thesis „Delicati & deliciae. Versuch einer Begriffsbestimmung“ deals with those inscriptions, in which the terms delicatus and delicium are mentioned. It was my purpose to find out, if there were any differences in the use of those and what the duties and responsibilities of the so-called people were. The work is structured in three parts. Part I is about the representation of the delicati and deliciae in the antique literary sources, part II is the statistical evaluation of the selected inscriptions and part III the examination of the possible duties of the delicati and deliciae. There is also a catalogue, which includes all the considered inscriptions, including translation and commentary.
Despite it is an epigraphic work in the first line, it was important to discuss the literary sources too, because there is a significant difference between the representation in these and the epigraphic ones.
Only those inscriptions were accounted, where both terms appear as „job specifications“, that means, that all those, where delicatus and delicium appear as names and/or epithets were excluded.
