Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt eine Auswahl von Gedichten der österreichischen Schriftstellerin Christine Lavant (1915-1973) in das Zentrum ihrer Betrachtung und liefert dazu interpretato-rische Ansätze. Ausgehend von der Annahme, dass Lyrikanthologien und Gedichtauswahl-bände für die Kanonisierung von Gedichten eine große Rolle spielen, wird in der Arbeit ein Textkorpus erstellt, welches sich aus deutsch- und fremdsprachigen Gedichtbänden zur Lyrik Lavants sowie deutsch- und fremdsprachigen Lyrikanthologien nach 1945, die mindestens ein Gedicht Lavants enthalten, zusammensetzt. Innerhalb dieses Korpus wird eine quantitative Reihung innerhalb der Gedichtauswahlbände und Anthologien erstellt, die zehn darin am häu-figsten abgedruckten Gedichte werden im weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit als die besonders be-kannten Gedichte Lavants angenommen. Im Anhang der Arbeit finden sich eine tabellarische Auflistung aller Gedichte und der Gedichtbände, in denen sie vorkommen, sowie die Auswer-tung der Häufigkeit des Vorkommens der Gedichte in Listenform, beginnend mit den Gedich-ten, die mit neun Mal am häufigsten abgedruckt sind. Nach einem einleitenden Kapitel zur Lyrik Christine Lavants und ihrer Rezeption, sowie einem Kapitel, welches den verwendeten Kanon-Begriff und das ausgewählte Textkor-pus vorstellt, konzentriert sich der Hauptteil der Arbeit auf die Interpretationen eben jener zehn am häufigsten veröffentlichten Gedichte. In der abschließenden Conclusio wird einerseits versucht, für Lavants Lyrik besonders typische und wichtige Elemente aufzuzeigen, an-dererseits die so häufige Auswahl gerade dieser zehn Gedichte innerhalb des Textkorpus zu-mindest in Thesenform zu begründen bzw. zu erklären.

The present thesis focuses on a selection of poems by the Austrian writer Christine Lavant (1915-1973) and offers corresponding interpretational approaches. Based on the assumption that poetry anthologies and selective poetry volumes play an important role in the canoniza-tion of poems as a whole, the thesis presents a corpus of texts compiled of various volumes of Lavant’s poetry both in German and foreign languages, as well as of various poetry antholo-gies in German and foreign languages from after the year of 1945 that include at least one poem by Lavant. A quantitative counting of the poems will be giving within the scope of this canon; 10 of the most often printed poems will further be assumed as to represent the most important ones in general. A tabular list of all poems and the collective volumes they are printed in, as well as an evaluation of the poems in a list format are available in the appendix. Following an introductory chapter on Christine Lavant’s poetry and its reception, the thesis presents the chosen concept of literary canon and the corpus of texts to work with and on. The main part of the thesis offers an interpretation of the 10 most often printed poems singled out from the corpus of texts earlier on. The reasons for singling out these 10 poems in accordance with the most typical and important elements of Lavant’s work will be given in the conclusion of the present thesis.
