Mit der Erfahrung der Migration gehen meist ein Wandel des soziokulturellen Umfeldes sowie die Veränderung von strukturellen Lebensbedingungen einher. Dies kann im Prozess der Identitätskonstruktion eine spezifische Herausforderung darstellen. Migrations- und Identitätsbildungsprozesse gestalten sich in unterschiedlichen Biographien verschiedenartig, da eine Reihe an Kontext- und Bedingungsfaktoren auf diese Prozesse einwirken. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Forschungsarbeit sind die spezifischen Erfahrungen einer Frau in der Migration. Durch ein biographieanalytisches Vorgehen im Forschungsprozess wird es möglich, dieses Erfahrungswissen für wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzungen zu nutzen und der Frage nachzugehen, welche Bedeutung Migration für die Entwicklung des Identitätskonzepts hat. Im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit steht darüber hinaus das Leben in einer binationalen Ehe und welche Rolle die Partnerschaft im Prozess der Identitätsbildung einnimmt. Basierend auf einem autobiographisch-narrativen Interview wird interpretativ analysiert, welche Identitäten die Biographieträgerin konstruiert und auf welche kulturellen Deutungsmuster bzw. strukturellen Zusammenhänge sie dabei rekurriert. Durch analytische Abstraktionen werden auf Grundlage einer strukturellen Beschreibung von Erzählsegmenten spezifische Grundmuster herausgearbeitet. Die narrativen Inhalte werden dabei mit der formalen Struktur der Erzählung in Verbindung gebracht. Diese Grundmuster stehen in enger Wechselwirkung mit den analytischen Kategorien, die auf einer identitätsbildenden Untersuchungsebene generiert werden. Vor dem Hintergrund intersektionaler Überlegungen werden beide analytischen Einheiten sowie der soziale Rahmen - Migration und binationale Partnerschaft - im welchem diese eingebettet sind, in ihrer Wechselwirkung und Komplexität betrachtet. Im Hinblick auf den Prozess der Identitätskonstruktion und -transformation treten die analytischen Kategorien und Grundmuster empirisch gleichzeitig auf und haben in ihrer Interdependenz verstärkende oder abschwächende Wirkung. Damit eine adäquate interpretative Analyse stattfinden kann, werden in der vorliegenden Arbeit auch Kontextualisierungen vorgenommen und strukturellen sowie rechtlichen Bedingungen in der Migration und in der Partnerschaft Beachtung geschenkt sowie das Augenmerk auf Frauenbilder und Geschlechterverhältnisse gelenkt. Die intensive Auseinandersetzung mit diesen Phänomenen stellt eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für ein angemessenes biographieanalytisches Vorgehen im empirischen Forschungsprozess dar.

The experience of migration is often accompanied by the change of sociocultural environment and structural lifeconditions. These changes may pose a certain challenge in the process of the construction of identity. Processes of identity-building and migration vary in different biographies, influenced by a number of contextual and conditional factors. The topic of this paper is the analysis of specific experiences of a woman in migration. A biographic-analytical procedure enables the scientific discussion of this experiential knowledge and persues the question about the significance of migration for the development of the concept of identity. Moreover the paper is focused on the subject‘s life in a binational marriage and the role of this partnership in the process of the creation of identity. Based on an autobiographic-narrative interview the identities, that the woman constructs by herself, are analysed. Furthermore the patterns of cultural connotation as well as the structural relations, to which the affected individual applies to, are discovered. Main patterns are formulated through analytical abstractions of relevant parts of the interviews, which are summarized in structural descriptions. Narrative contents are thereby connected to the formal structure of the interviewee’s stories. The interplay between the main patterns and the analytical categories is generated by an identity-forming level of investigation. Against the background of intersectional reflections both units of analysis as well as the embedded social framework, which includes migration and binational partnership, are considered in their interaction and complexity. With regard to the process of construction and transformation of identity these main patterns and analytical categories occur simultaneously and reveal reinforcing or debilitating effects through the interdependence of each other. To allow an adequate interpretative analysis, contextualizations are also presented in this paper. Additional structural and legal conditions of migration and partnership as well as the role of women and the relation between the sexes are discussed. The intensive debate about this phenomenon is a substantial requirement for the appropriate biographical-analytical discourse of the empirical sientific procedure.
