Gegenstand der vorliegenden Masterarbeit ist die Neuformulierung der wechselnden Ideologie der Türkischen Republik, beginnend mit der AKP (die Partei für Gerechtigkeit und Aufschwung) Regierung im Jahre 2002. Die Hypothese läutet, dass die Türkische Republik sich eher an der konservatorischen und neo-Ottoman ideologischen Politik gewandt hat und nicht an der strengen Kemalist Ideologie, die auf den Türkischen Nationalismus mit dem modernistischen Diskurs basierte. Um die angenommene Hypothese zu bestätigen, wird die Museum Politik des Staates analysiert. Der Hypothese entsprechend wurde das Panorama 1453 Historisches Museum zur Fallstudie gewählt, das in der Zeit der AKP-Regierung gegründet wurde. Mittels der Diskursanalyse und der Beschreibung von den Ausstellungsräumen im Museum wird die Hypothese bestätigt.
Die folgenden Forschungsfragen werden unter Betracht gezogen um die Forschungshypothese zu bestätigen: Wie wurde die Politik von Museen während der AKP Regierung geändert? Wie kann die Gründung vom Panorama 1453 Historisches Museum die Ideologie der AKP Regierung wiederspiegeln? Wie verstärkt dieses Museum die Identität der AKP Regierung?
Im Zentrum des Forschungsüberblicks sind die wissenschaftlichen Studien über Museen. Historische und theoretische Entwicklung von diesen Studien wird auch umfangreich analysiert. Der historische Teil fängt mit der Museumsgeschichte in der Zeit des Osmanischen Reichs an und läuft mit der Entwicklung des Museums in der Zeit der Türkischen Republik weiter. Zuletzt wird die Zeit der AKP Regierung im Hinblick auf die Museum Politik eingeschätzt. Als Schlussfolgerung von den theoretischen und historischen Beschreibungen wird die Gründung des Panoramas 1453 Historisches analysiert. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Museum die Kulturpolitik der AKP Regierung repräsentiert und zur ihrer Auswirkung wird. Die vorliegende MA-Arbeit zielt sich darauf die wechselnde Kulturpolitik der Türkischen Republik am Beispiel des Panoramas 1453 Historisches Museum zu zeigen.

This thesis focuses on the reformulation of the changing ideology of the Turkish Republic, starting with the rule of AKP (Justice and Development Party) Government since 2002. The argument is that since the Turkish Republic embraced on conservatist and neo-Ottoman ideological policies in the cultural area rather than strict Kemalist ideology, which is based on Turkish nationalism with modernist discourse. In order to prove the argument, this thesis looks into museum politics of the state. Accordingly, the case study is the Panorama 1453 History Museum, which is founded in the governance of the AKP government. Through the method of discourse analysis and the museum space descriptions, the argument is being reinforced.
Research questions, aiming to unpack the arguments, are: how museum policies were changed during the rule of the AKP government, how can the establishment of Panorama 1453 History Museum show ideology of the AKP government and how does this museum reinforce the identity of the AKP government?
In the section of literature review my main focus is museum studies. The historical and theoretical developments of the museum studies are looked at extensively. The historical part starts with the museum history of the Ottoman Empire and continues with the museum development of the Turkish Republic. Lastly, the AKP Government era is evaluated in the field of museum politics. As a consequence of the theoretical and historical descriptions, the establishment process of Panorama 1453 History Museum is being revealed with the museum itself. In sum, the museum represents, and at the same time, is an outcome of the cultural policies of the AKP government. This thesis dedicates itself to illustrate the changing cultural policies of Turkey through the Panoroma 1453 History Museum.
