Die Europäische Transnationale Arbeitsvertretung ist ein Schlüsselfaktor zur Schaffung von besseren Arbeits- und Lebensbedingungen für alle Europäer. Die Europäische Transnationale Arbeitsvertretung ist in dieser Master These untersucht worden - wie sie organisiert ist; wie sie funktioniert; die Herausforderung, die sich ihr gegenüber stellen; und allgemeiner die Rolle, die sie in der EU spielt. Nach der Theorie, dass unter der neoliberalen Wirtschaftspolitik der EU die Europäische Transnationale Arbeitsvertretung immer ineffektiver wäre, fragte die These welche Wirkungen die Europäische Transnationale Arbeitsvertretung auf die Arbeitsbedingungen in der EU in der Tat ausgeübt hat. Außerdem wird die zukünftige Rolle der Europäischen Transnationalen Arbeitsvertretung diskutiert. Um diese Frage zu beantworten, wurde eine große Menge von akademischer Literatur, Texten, die von der Europäischen Kommission, ETUC und anderen relevanten Organisationen veröffentlicht worden sind, und auch ein Expertinterview, interpretiert. Auch Beispiele von ETUC kollektivem Handel und Abkommen, die zwischen den Sozialpartnern vereinbart worden waren, wurden evaluiert. Die Masterthese fasst insgesamt zusammen, dass der Einfluss von der Europäischen Transnational Arbeitsvertretung auf die Arbeitsbedingungen in der EU vermindert worden ist. Jetzt befindet sie sich in einer schwierigen Situation mit einem harten Kampf vor sich. Trotzdem endet die These mit der Ansicht, dass manche Hoffnung für die Zukunft bestehen könnte.

European transnational labour representation is a key force in creating improved working conditions and livelihoods for all Europeans. This master thesis will examine European transnational labour representation- considering how it is constituted; which mechanisms it operates through; the challenges it face and the role it plays within the EU more generally. Following the theory that under the neo-liberal economic policy of the EU, labour representation has had its influence increasingly diminished and has become an increasingly ineffective actor within the EU, the thesis asks what effect European transnational labour representation has in fact had on working conditions within the EU. Moreover the question of European labour representation's future role within a strong neo-liberal economy is discussed. In looking to answer these questions a broad body of academic literature, texts published by the European Union, the European Trade Union Federation and other relevant bodies as well as an expert interview were interpreted. Key examples of ETUC collective actions and framework agreements created as part of the social partners were also evaluated. The master thesis concludes overall that European transnational labour representation has had diminished impact on EU employment and social policy over the last decade to twenty years and that it currently stands in a difficult position facing an uphill struggle. Nonetheless the thesis ends with the sentiment that some hope for the future can be afforded.
