Der Ausgangspunkt der anfangs vorgesehenen, in erster Linie empirischen Studie, ist das Interesse an der Erforschung der Expansion des Kapitalismus nach Kroatien und in diesem Zusammenhang insbesondere, die Untersuchung der ideologischen Strukturen im Kontext der Staatlichkeitstransformationen. Dieses Forschungsinteresse wurde primär wegen der Besonderheiten des Empiriefalles und des eigenen Interesses ergänzt und teilweise geändert. Es wurde zunächst darüber nachgedacht, was die theoretische Apparatur grundsätzlich können soll. Der theoretische Rahmen der Untersuchung wurde demnach an den Schnittstellen der Internationalen Beziehungen und der Staatstheorie gesucht, wobei als gleich relevante theoretische Ausgangspunkte ein kritischer Ideologiebegriff, sowie Kapitalismuskritik fungieren sollen. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurde als theoretische Basis der Untersuchung die Diskussion über die Internationalisierung des Kapitalismus von Nicos Poulantzas genommen. Als Hilfsmittel dienten sowohl die Darstellungen und Erläuterungen der relevanten Diskussionen von AutorInnen wie Marx, Lenin, Luxemburg, Gramsci und Althusser, deren Einsichten Poulantzas selbst übernommen/modifiziert hat als auch die Darstellungen und (Selbst)Erläuterungen der Einsichten von Poulantzas aus seinen anderen Arbeiten, die mir für das Verstehen der Internationalisierung des Kapitalismus notwendig erschienen sind. Außerdem wurden andere AutorInnen konsultiert und in die theoretischen Grundlagen der beabsichtigten Empiriestudie „eingebaut“. Nämlich immer dann, wenn mir die Denkweise von Poulantzas in bestimmten Segmenten, sowohl vor dem Hintergrund der Ziele der Empiriestudie als auch der Merkmale der Empirie, problematisch/modifizierungs- bzw. erweiterungsbedürftig vorkam. Die unternommene Modifikationen/Erweiterungen der Begriffsapparatur basieren dabei nicht nur auf Einsichten anderer AutorInnen, sondern gehen auch aus der Empirie hervor. In diesem Sinne wurde ein Teil der Modifikationen der Einsichten des Poulantzas von der sowohl diachronen als auch synchronen Empirie Jugoslawiens/Kroatiens extrapoliert bzw. auf unterschiedlichen Abstraktionsniveaus theoretisiert. Außerdem wurden die Modifikationen auf der Basis der separat reflektierten Dialektik als Forschungsmethode entwickelt. Zuvor war es aber notwendig, die Eckpfeiler der Interpretation, d.h. der einzelnen Begrifflichkeiten der Dialektik zu klären. Die Ergebnisse dieser Vorgangsweise sind Skizzen der einzelnen dialektischen Begriffe bzw. Fragmente der Interpretationseckpfeiler: Historizität, Widersprüchlichkeit und Totalität des Phänomens.

The starting point of this study, planed originally as an empirical one, is the interest for a research on expansion of capitalism in Croatia and from this point of view particularly the examination of the ideological structures in the context of state transformation. That research interest was primary complemented and partially altered because of the particularities of the empirical case on the one hand and of my own interests on the other. The first question under consideration was what should be the main potential of the theoretical apparatus. Consequently, the theoretical frames of the research were to be found at the interface of international relations and state theory, while a critical approach of the terms ideology and capitalism functioned as an equivalently relevant theoretical starting point. That theoretical background favored the selection of Nicos Poulantzas’ analysis on internationalization of capitalism as theoretical basis for my research. Presentations and exemplifications of relevant analysis of authors like Marx, Lenin, Luxemburg, Gramsci and Althusser, whose thoughts Poulantzas adopted or modified, as well as presentations and (self)exemplifications of Poulantzas’ way of thinking from his other works, which appeared necessary to me for an understanding of the internationalization of capitalism, were used as research tools. Additionally, I consulted other authors’ works and integrated them into the theoretical basis of the intended empirical study, especially when it seemed to me that certain segments of Poulantzas’ way of thinking were problematic in regard to the goals of the empirical study as well as to the main features of the empirics and needed therefore to be modified, i.e. enhanced. The undertaken modifications/enhancements of the terms’ apparatus do not only base on realizations, of other authors, but they derive also from empirical basis. In this sense, a part of the modifications of Poulantzas’ way of thinking was extrapolated from diachronic as well as synchronous empirics of Yugoslavia/Croatia, i.e. was theorized on different levels of abstraction. In addition, the modifications were improved as research method on the basis of a separately reflected dialectic. First, however, it was necessary to clarify the pillars of the interpretation, i.e. of the individual terminology of the dialectic. The results of this research are drafts of the individual dialectic terms, i.e. fragments of the interpretation pillars: historicity, antagonism and totality of phenomenon.
