Ich werde eine historische Ethnographie der Veränderungen in den sozialen, wirtschaftlichen und kulturellen Aspekten der Mapoyo Leute in der Mittleren Orinoco Region seit europäischer Kolonisation zur Verfügung stellen, um die Veränderungen der Ethnoscape und der territorialen Dynamik, einschließlich der ethnogenese Prozesse zu verstehen, die mit dem Gebrauch und der Vorstellung der verbunden sind Landschaft seit mindestens der Errichtung von Jesuitenmissionen im 18. Jahrhundert bis heute in der Region zwischen den Suapure und Parguaza Flüssen der indigenen Gemeinschaft von El Palomo, Bolivar, Venezuela
Ich werde zeigen, dass es innerhalb des Mapoyo-Territoriums einen Prozess gab, der benachbarte Gemeinschaften und ethnische Gruppen, entweder indigene oder kreolische, als Teil der Gemeinschaft El Palomo einbezieht, was aus den sozialen und physischen Fortpflanzungsbedürfnissen der Mapoyo-Gruppe und ihrer Identität verstanden werden kann .
Um die räumliche und soziale Dynamik des heutigen Mapoyo durch ihre Geschichte zu erklären, hat diese Forschung zwei Dimensionen: Eine historische Dimension, die das Studium schriftlicher Dokumente und Gesetze umfasste, die dazu beitrugen, Veränderungen in räumlichen Repräsentationen und Politiken zu erzeugen ethnographische Dimension, einschließlich Demographie und räumliche Organisation, und mündliche Überlieferungen des Mapoyo, die möglicherweise exklusive Territorien oder erlaubte Räume der Inklusion, Pluralität und Vielfalt definiert haben.

I will provide an historical ethnography of the changes in social, economic and cultural aspects of the Mapoyo people in the Middle Orinoco region since European colonization to understand the changes of the ethnoscape and territorial dynamics, including ethnogenetic processes connected to the use and imagining of the landscape since at least the establishment of Jesuit missions during the 18th-Century until the present in the region between the Suapure and Parguaza Rivers of the indigenous community of El Palomo, Bolivar State, Venezuela.
I will demonstrate that within the Mapoyo territory there has been a process of including neighbouring communities and ethnic groups, either indigenous or creole as part of El Palomo community, which could be understood from the social and physical reproductive needs of the Mapoyo group and its identity.
In order to explain the spatial and social dynamics of the present-day Mapoyo through their history, this research has two dimensions: A historical dimension, which included the study of written documents and laws that helped to produce changes in spatial representations and policies and an ethnographic dimension, including demography and spatial organization, and oral traditions of the Mapoyo, which may have defined exclusive territories or allowed spaces of inclusion, plurality and diversity.
