In dieser Arbeit wird der "Cantar de Mio Cid" detailliert in Bezug auf kopräsente Konzepte, Diskurse, Praktiken und Institutionen, innerhalb und außenhalb von Kastilien, untersucht. Diese funktionale Kontextualisierung ist unerlässlich für eine innovative Lesart des Werkes, die in der strukturellen Notwendigkeit des Adels nach ständiger synästhetischer Vergegenwärtigung verankert ist. Somit weist die durchgeführte Analyse einen ‚unterbeforschten’ Fragenbedarf in diesem nur scheinbar ‚überbeforschten’ Feld auf.
Abstract

In this thesis, the "Cantar de Mio Cid" is analyzed in relation to copresent concepts, discourses, practices, and institutions, both within and outside Castile. This functional historicization and contextualization is crucial for the new reading of this epic poem, based on the structural necessity of the nobility to constantly re-present its status in a synesthetic way. The analysis is aimed at showing important yet ʻunder-researchedʼ aspects of this well-known and seemingly ʻover-studiedʼ field.
