Prozess-Mining und Prozessanalyse operieren auf von Informationssystemen erzeugten Event-Logs. Visualisierungstechniken helfen diese Logs zu verstehen aber es kann schwierig sein damit größere oder komplexe Logs zu untersuchen oder kleine Unregelmäßigkeiten zu entdecken. Sonifikation ist eine alternativerWeg um Daten darzustellen und da Sonifikation ein zeitliches Medium ist scheint es gut zu Event-Logs mit Zeitstempeln zu passen. Verschiedene Techniken und Technologien werden diskutiert und mit Visualisierung zu einem multimodalem Werkzeug kombiniert. Die Eignung dieses Werkzeugs um typische Prozess-Mining- und Prozessanalyse-Fragestellungen zu lösen wird evaluiert.

Process mining and process analysis can be performed on event logs generated by computer information systems. Visualization techniques help to understand the log data but it may be difficult to work with large or complex logs or to find small irregularities in the log. Sonification is an alternative way to display data and sonification, being a temporal medium, seems to be a good fit for event logs containing time stamps. Different sonification techniques and technologies are discussed and combined with visualization to implement a multi-modal tool. The suitability of the tool to solve typical process analysis mining and analysis tasks is evaluated.
