Abstract
(Deutsch)
Abstract
(Englisch)
This paper considers the problem of coordinating a supply chain with the help of contracts. The fundament of the paper is the paper from Cachon, G. (2003). The problem will be indicated in a mathematical model and five contracts will be analysed if they coordinate the supply chain. These five contracts are the wolesale-price contract, the buyback contract, the revenue-sharing contract, the quantity-flexability contract and the sales-rebate contract. A contract coordinates the supply chain in case of achieving the optimal result of the whole supply chain following the decisions the retailer and the supplier make. This paper determines that only the whoelsale-price contract can’t coordinate the supply chain. In the fourth part of the paper it assumes that the demand for the product is now a price-dependent demand. The four coordinating contracts will then again be analysed if they still coordinate the supply chain. The result of that analysis is that the price discount-sharing contract which arise under special requirements from the buyback contract coordinates the supply chain . The revenue-sharing contract also coordinates the supply chain but only assuming that the goodwill penalty cost for the supplier and for the retailer are zero. The final consideration of the paper deals with an effort-dependent demand and the four contracts which coordinated the supply chain will be analysed again considering the coordination of the supply chain with an effort-dependent demand. The result of that analysis is that none of the four contracts can coordinate the supply chain any longer.
