Gehört Russland zur europäischem System des Menschenrechtsschutzes? Führt Russland Handlungen des Europäischen Gerichtshofs für Menschenrechte durch und in welchem Umfang? Warum hat es in den letzten Jahrzehnten einen negativen Trend bei den Menschenrechten gegeben?
In dieser wissenschaftlichen Studie untersucht der Autor Fragen der Interaktion zwischen Russland und dem Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte auf der Grundlage der Systematisierung der historischen Entwicklung und der Rechtsprechung der Organisation. Der Autor versucht, einen Ausweg aus schwierigen Beziehungen zum Straßburger Gerichtshof zu finden, indem er Legislativvorschläge formuliert und andere Empfehlungen abgibt.
Auf der Grundlage der Praxis des Europäischen Gerichtshofs für Menschenrechte und der Praxis der nationalen Gerichte wird die Notwendigkeit einer Umgestaltung und Vereinheitlichung der derzeitigen russischen Gesetzgebung und Strafverfolgungspraxis festgestellt.
Forscher und Politikwissenschaftler mit besonderem Interesse an der Frage der Menschenrechte in Russland werden von dieser kurzen, aber gleichzeitig gründlichen Forschung zu diesem Thema profitieren.

Does Russia belong to the European human rights protection system? Does Russia enforce the acts of the European Court of Human Rights, and to what extent? Why has there been a human rights gap over the last decades?
In this scientific research, the author examines the issues of legal relationship and interaction between Russia and the European Court of Human Rights on the basis of systematization of the historical development of the organization and the case study. The author attempts to figure out the solution to the stormy relationship with the Strasbourg Court by formulating legislative proposals and giving other recommendations.
Drawing on the practice of the European Court of Human Rights and the practice of national courts, it is stated that it is essential to transform and unify the existing Russian legislation and law enforcement practice.
Researchers and scholars of law and political science with a special interest in human rights issue in Russia will profit from this brief but at the same time thorough study of the subject.
