Thema dieser Diplomarbeit ist die Unterschung der Ausformung der Individualität im deutschen "Prosalancelot". Als Basis dafür dient Clemens Lugwoskis Theorie des "mythischen Analogons", welches im Text untersucht wird. Im Anschluss daran wird das Problem der Providenz aufgeworfen und überprüft, wie sich diese auf die Form des Textes auswirkt. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit sind: In der Providenz weist die Handlung eine andere Form von Motivation auf, die Zeitlichkeit ist stärker ausgeprägt und die Individualität stärker ausgeformt als im Mythos.

The issue of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the implementation of individuality in the German “Prosa-Lancelot”. The basis therefore is Clemens Lugowskis theory of the “mythical analogon”, which will be analyzed in the text. Afterwards will be examined the problem of the providence and reviewed, how this impacts on the form of the text. The most important results of this diploma thesis are: In the providence the storyline displays another form of motivation, the temporality is much more pronounced and the implementation of the individuality is stronger than in the myth.
