Diese Masterarbeit befasst sich mit der Thematik Weltraumpolitik, insbesondere mit dem Vergleich der zwei Weltraumbehörden ESA (European Space Agency) und NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). Mehrere politische Theorien bezüglich der Weltraumpolitik werden in der Arbeit thematisiert. Der Vergleich befasst sich mit mehreren wichtigen Aspekten von den Policy Papieren und deren Weltraumprogrammen der beiden Weltraumbehörden. Dabei werden unterschiedliche Aspekte, wie Forschung, Militär, Ökonomie und Umwelt näher analysiert und vergleichen. Die Ergebnisse des Vergleiches werden anschaulich in der Arbeit dargestellt und mit den bestehenden politischen Theorien verbunden. Die Masterthesis thematisiert auch, aufgrund des Vergleiches, einen Ausblick auf die mögliche zukünftige Entwicklung der Weltraumpolitik.

This master thesis focuses on the subject of outer space politics, especially on a comparison of the two space agencies ESA (European Space Agency) und NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). Several political theories regarding space politics are discussed in this thesis. The comparison addresses numerous important aspects from the diverse space agencies policy papers as well as their space programmes. Thereby, different aspects, such as science, military, economy and environment, will be put under a detailed analysis and compared. The results of the comparison are clearly illustrated in this thesis and are interlinked to the existing political theories. Due to the comparison, this master thesis also discusses the possible future directions of outer space politics.
