Diese Arbeit dokumentiert die konzeptionelle Entwicklung und praktische Umsetzung einer interaktiven, informativen Web-Applikation für und über Improvisation in der elektronischen Musik. Ausgangspunkt bildet eine Literaturanalyse, die sich mit den historischen, gesellschaftlichen, kognitiven und ästhetischen Dimensionen musikalischer Improvisation auseinandersetzt. Im weiteren Verlauf richtet sich der Fokus auf die erweiterten Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten improvisatorischer Praxis in der elektronischen Musik, die maßgeblich durch technologische Entwicklungen geprägt sind. Zur vertieften Erfassung der spezifischen Merkmale dieser Spielart werden quantitative Audioanalysen durchgeführt, die Unterschiede in Rhythmik, melodischer Struktur und Klangfarbe zwischen akustischen und elektronischen Improvisationen untersuchen. Die aus der Literatur- und Audioanalyse gewonnenen Erkenntnisse bilden das konzeptionelle Fundament für die Entwicklung der finalen Applikation. Diese vereint impulsgebende Statements, die aus den zuvor erarbeiteten theoretischen und analytischen Ergebnissen abgeleitet sind, mit einem Online-Instrument, das Nutzer*innen ermöglicht, kognitive Impulse unmittelbar in musikalische Praxis zu übersetzen. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, theoretische und praktische Perspektiven aus den Digital Humanities und der Musikwissenschaft zu verknüpfen und zugleich eine neue Sichtweise auf improvisatorische Praktiken in der elektronischen Musik zu eröffnen.

This thesis documents the conceptual development and practical implementation of an interactive, informative online application focused on improvisation in electronic music. It begins with literature-based research that examines a broad range of topics related to musical improvisation, including its historical, societal, cognitive, and aesthetic dimensions. The scope is then narrowed to explore the expanded possibilities afforded by technological innovations within electronic music improvisation. To deepen the understanding of key characteristics specific to this practice, a series of comparative audio analyses are conducted, highlighting contrasts in timbre, rhythmic structure, and melodic content between acoustic and electronic improvisations. The insights gained from both the theoretical research and quantitative analyses serve as foundational elements in the development of the final application. This includes a set of prompt-like impulse statements, inspired by the literature review and the outcomes of the audio analyses, as well as an online instrument that enables users to translate cognitive input into immediate sonic output. Through this approach, the thesis aims to bridge practical and theoretical perspectives in the fields of digital humanities and musicology, while also offering a novel lens on improvisational practices in electronic music.
