Abstract
(Deutsch)
Abstract
(Englisch)
The subject of this Master's thesis is occupational health promotion as a component of ESG reporting pursuant to the CSRD. The focus lies on a systematic comparison of reporting practices in Austria, Sweden, and Germany. Central research questions address the manner of presentation of health programs, identifiable country-specific differences, as well as best practices. The empirical basis consists of thirty sustainability and ESG reports from the years 2023 and 2024, analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Particular attention was paid to key performance indicators, the standards GRI 403 and ESRS S1, as well as cultural and institutional influencing factors. The results reveal distinct differences: Germany exhibits a compliance-oriented reporting approach (e.g., Siemens LTIFR: 0.22; BASF TRIR: 0.30), while Austria is characterized by institutional support from the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) (e.g., voestalpine with an LTIFR reduction from 8.8 to 7.4). Swedish corporations distinguish themselves through holistic strategies utilizing digital tools (Atlas Copco: 155,226 risk observations) and psychosocial prevention. The contribution of this thesis lies in creating a higher degree of comparability for ESG reports and deriving concrete practical recommendations for enhancing transparency and quality.
