Diese Studie untersucht die Überlebensstrategien feministischer Frauenorganisationen in der Türkei angesichts des schrumpfenden zivilgesellschaftlichen Raums, der durch den neoliberalen-konservativen und autoritären Wandel des Landes unter Präsident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan und der regierenden AKP-Partei verschärft wird. Frauenorganisationen in der Türkei spielen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Bekämpfung geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt, der Bereitstellung rechtlicher Unterstützung und der Sensibilisierung für Frauenrechte. Sie stehen jedoch vor erheblichen Herausforderungen, darunter rechtliche und finanzielle Einschränkungen, gesellschaftliche Marginalisierung und staatliche Repression. Auf der Grundlage theoretischer Ansätze zu Überlebensstrategien von NGOs in autoritären Regimen und der Resource Mobilization Theory wird untersucht, wie türkische Frauenorganisationen unter anderem mit Ressourcenknappheit und Personalmanagement umgehen. Anhand von Experteninterviews, die mithilfe von Mayrings qualitativer Inhaltsanalyse ausgewertet und durch Dokumentenanalysen ergänzt wurden, identifiziert die Studie vielfältige Strategien wie Compliance, Simulation, Informalisierung und Internationalisierung. Sie betont außerdem die Notwendigkeit von Solidarität unter demokratischen Akteuren. Diese Forschung beleuchtet nicht nur die Widerstandsfähigkeit feministischer Organisationen in der Türkei, sondern leistet auch einen Beitrag zum umfassenderen Verständnis von Überlebensstrategien von NGOs unter autoritären Regimen und bietet Erkenntnisse für globale feministische Solidarität und die Verteilung von Ressourcen.

The study examines the survival strategies employed by feminist women’s organizations in Turkey amidst a shrinking civic space, exacerbated by the country’s neoliberal-conservative and authoritarian shift under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Justice and Development Party (AKP). Women’s organizations in Turkey play a crucial role in addressing gender-based violence, providing legal aid, and raising awareness about women’s rights. However, they face significant challenges, including legal and financial restrictions, societal marginalization, and state repression. Drawing on the theoretical frameworks of survival strategies for NGOs in authoritarian contexts and Resource Mobilization Theory, the research explores how Turkish women’s organizations navigate resource scarcity, human resource management, and financial planning. Employing expert interviews analyzed through Mayring's qualitative content analysis and supported by document analysis, the study identifies diverse coping mechanisms such as compliance, simulation, informalization, and internationalization. It also emphasizes the necessity of solidarity among democratic actors. The research not only sheds light on the resilience of feminist organizations in Turkey but also contributes to the broader understanding of NGO survival strategies under authoritarian regimes, offering valuable insights for global feminist solidarity and resource allocation.
