Abstract
(Deutsch)
If we talk about the Cultural Revolution, quite a lot of people would put attention to the Cultural Revolution itself, but lately more and more people found out that the discussion about the guilt and responsibility of people who experienced the Cultural Revolution(abbreviation:CR) would be much more fascinating. However, there is no proper standard to evaluate whether a people who experienced the CR guilty or not, should he or she take responsibility for what he or she did during the CR? So far no exact answers for this question.
Meanwhile, I found Bajin's work "Sui Xiang Lu", which recorded exactly his thoughts about CR from 1978 to 1986, which lasted eight long years, and some of his opinions about the CR had been continue changing in this eight years.
Interestingly, I also found out that the theory of guilt, which was raised up by Karl Jaspers, and which was originally for the discussion of German guilts in the WWII, was surprisingly practical for the discussion of the guilt and responsibility during and after the Chinese CR.
And this is exactly the reason why I wrote this paper, trying to analyse Bajin's work and discuss the guilt and responsibility after the CR, based on the theory of Karl Jaspers and Chinese traditional thoughts.
